Deposit ADIT FOLLOWS BLACK CARBONACEOUS GOUGE ZONE IN FOOTWALL OF WHITE QUARTZ VEIN. VEIN TREND PROJECTS ACROSS ROAD TO THE SOUTHWEST, WHERE, IN SEC. 06, THERE IS ANOTHER ADIT DRIVEN ON THE VEIN. FINE-GRAINED DIORITE DIKE EXPOSED AT THE MOUTH OF THE NORTHERN ADIT. DIKE IS IN THE FOOTWALL OF THE VEIN-FAULT ZONE, AND IS WEATHERED A DULL GREENISH-BROWN. WHITE VEIN QUARTZ ON THE NORTHERN ADIT DUMP IS BRECCIATED, RECEMENTED WITH CLEAR QUARTZ. OLDER WHITE QUARTZ HAS WALLROCK INCLUSIONS OF SHALEY HORNFELS AND PHYLLITE. VEIN AT MOUTH OF ADIT STRIKES N 40 E, DIPS 65 NW, IS ABOUT 5-FT WIDE, AND DIKE PARALLEL TO VEIN IS ABOUT 10 FT WIDE. BOTRYOIDAL MASSES OF HEMATITE LIMONITE OCCUR AS LENSES ALONG BEDDING IN WALLROCK NEAR THE VEIN; THESE ARE LACED WITH CLEAR QUARTZ.
