  • 44 CURRENT CLAIMS COVER A LARGE AREA IN VICINITY OF SEVERAL PAST-PRODUCING MINES. (1893-1942-OXIDE ZONE WAS MINED YIELDING $6.5 MILLION WORTH OF GOLD WITH GOLD AT $300. THE MINE WAS ABANDONED WHEN THE SULFIDE ZONE WAS REACHED. IN 1984 SUMMIT MINERAL VENTURES OPTIONED THE COBB CLAIMS AND STAKED 24 CONTIGUOUS CLAIMS. SAMPLING WAS ENCOURAGING
