  • PLACERS INTERMITTENTLY ACTIVE FROM EARLY 1900'S TO PRESENT. THIS ONE ACTIVE AT TIME OF EXAMINATION IN SEPT, 1984. OPERATIONS OFTEN HAVE A SMALL CATCHMENT FOR WATER FROM WHICH THEY PUMP WATER OVER A SLUICE FILLED WITH GRAVELS FROM DIFFERENT PLACES ALONG THE WEST FLANK OF ROSEBUD PEAK.

Deposit REPORTEDLY, BEST PLACERING WAS NEAR HEADS OF CANYONS. GOLD WAS CHARACTERISTICALLY FLAT NUGGETS. TITANIFEROUS MAGNETITE OFTEN CLOGGED RIFFLES IN SLUICE BOXES.
