General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit LIMY BEDS IN SCHIST ARE UP TO 10 FT WIDE, TRACEABLE BY DISCONTINUOUS OUTCROPS FOR 3000 FT ALONG STRIKE. IN 2 LOCALITIES THEY ARE PURE MARBLEIZED LIMESTONE, BUT IN MOST PLACES THEY HAVE BEEN METAMORPHOSED TO TACTITE (EPIDOTE, QUARTZ, GARNET) MOST OF WHICH CONTAINS SMALL AMOUNTS OF SCHEELITE. THE 3 TACTITE BEDS CONTAIN SCHEELITE AND POWELLITE IN SMALL AMOUNTS, INTERMITTENTLY ALONG A STRIKE LENGTH OF 3000 FT THE BEDS ARE ABOUT 250 FT APART STRATIGRAPHICALLY. THE SCHEELITE AND POWELLITE OCCUR IN CRYSTALS AS MUCH AS 0.5 IN. IN DIAMETER, COMMONLY SPACED SEVERAL INCHES APART ALONG FRACTURES IN THE TACTITE BEDS. THE SMALL QUANTITIES OF ORE MINED AVERAGE ABOUT 0.5% WO3.
