General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit TACTITE OCCURS IN LIMESTONE ALONG A CONTACT WITH GRANITIC ROCKS. SCHEELITE IS SPARSE AND THE TACTITE IS POORLY DEVELOPED. SCATTERED QUARTZ VEINS CONTAINING SMALL AMOUNTS OF SCHEELITE ARE ALSO PRESENT. THE HIGHLY IRREGULAR E-W TRENDING CONTACT ZONE OF METASEDIMENTS AND GRANITIC INTRUSIVE CONTAINS EPIDOTE, GARNET, CALCITE AND SOME PYRITE. SAMPLE 3856 IS FROM THIS SKARN ZONE AND SAMPLE 3857 IS OF QUARTZ-VEINED MATERIAL ALONG THE MARGIN OF THE CONTACT ZONE IN THE OPEN PIT AREA.
