| Deposit | QUARTZ VEIN, SILICIFIED GOUGE, PART OF THE MARIE-RUBY VEIN SYSTEM OF SCHRADER (1947). VEIN IS ABOUT 4-6 FT WIDE WHERE THE INCLINE WAS SUNK. THE INCLINE FOLLOWS THE VEIN DOWN DIP AND THE ADJACENT OPEN CUT FOLLOWS THE VEIN ALONG STRIKE TO THE SE. VEIN CONSISTS OF HIGHLY SILICIFIED RHYOLITE WITH MINOR QUARTZ STRINGERS. RHYOLITE WALLROCK OF THE VEIN CONTACT IS ARGILLICALLY ALTERED AND SLICKESIDES ARE PRESENT IN GOUGE ALONG THE CONTACT. PYRARGYRITE WAS SEEN IN SPECIMENS COLLECTED AT THE SAMPLE SITE. |
