General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit WORKINGS EXPLORE A SHEAR ALONG A CONTACT ZONE BETWEEN VOLCANICS AND OLDER (MESOZOIC?) SEDIMENTS, WALLROCK AND PORTIONS OF THE SHEAR ZONE ARE BRECCIATED. THE BRECCIA CONSISTS OF SMALL FRAGMENTS OF SEDIMENT IN A MATRIX OF SILICIFIED VOLCANICS. SOME OF THE SEDIMENTS AWAY FROM THE SHEAR ARE COATED WITH EDIDOTE. SOME SULFIDE REPLACEMENT MINERALIZATION OCCURS WITHIN THE SEDIMENTARY ROCKS. SAMPLE 3921, SELECTED FROM THE SHAFT DUMP CONSISTED OF LIGHT TO DARK GREEN OXIDES OF LEAD WITH SPECKS AND CLOTS OF GALENA IN A HIGHLY POROUS STRONGLY MN-STAINED MATRIX. SAMPLE 3920 WAS COLLECTED FROM A PROSPECT PIT SE OF THE MAIN SHAFT; THIS SAMPLE CONTAINED ONLY MINOR LEAD VALUES.
