Comments on the workings information

  • PROPERTY WAS DEVELOPED BY THREE SHAFTS. THE WESTERNMOST OR MAIN SHAFT IS YPP FEET DEEP. AT A POINT 175 FEET EAST IS A 350 FOOT SHAFT, WHICH CONNECTS AT THE 300 FOOT LEVEL WITH A THIRD SHAFT WHICH WAS 160 FEET FARTHER EAST. DEVELOPMENT WORK WAS CARRIED ON THROUGH THE 350 FOOT SHAFT. THE 350- FOOT LEVEL WAS UNDER WATER. PUMPING WAS DONE 15 FEET ABOVE THIS LEVEL WITH A NO. 6 CMERON PUMP DRIVEN BY AIR. ON THE 300 FOOT LEVEL A DRIFT WAS DRIVEN 135 FEET NORTHWEST FROM THE SHAFT, AT WHICH POINT OLD WORKINGS WERE ENCOUNTERED. SOME GOOD ORE, A FAULTED SEGMENT OF THAT FORMERLY WORKED WAS FOUND IN THIS DRIFT. ORE WAS WORKED IN TWO MILLS NEAR TUNNEL SPRINGS.

Comments on development

  • OLD PROPERTY ORIGINALLY WORKED IN 1870'S BY SENATORS JONES AND STEWART OF NEVADA.
