| Deposit | AU-AG DEPOSITS IN TABULAR VEINS OR LENTICULAR BODIES. HANGING WALLS: ANDESITE PORPHYRY. FOOTWALLS: SLICKENSIDED SHALES. DEPOSITS RANGE IN WIDTH FROM 12-20 M, AVERAGING A 12 M. BEST ORE IN 2.1 M ZONE NEAR HANGING-WALL, GENERALLY SEPARATED FROM WALL ROCKS BY 1.2-1.5 M BAND OF LOW-GRADE MATERIAL. ORE CONSISTS OF QUARTZ + NATIVE GOLD, WITH RARE AU TELLURIDES. LOCALLY: BODIES OF AG SULFIDES ASSOCIATED WITH SULFIDES OF PB, CU, AND FE FORM LENSES 5-15 CM THICK. DEPOSITS ALSO CONTAIN MINOR AMOUNTS OF GALENA, CHALCOPYRITE, NATIVE CU, STIBNITE, CERVANTITE, AND MN OXIDE. A CYLINDRICAL CHIMNEY FOUND IN ONE MINE NEAR SHALE FOOTWALL CONSISTED OF RICH VEINLETS OF ORE MATERIAL IN 21 M HIGH X 10 M WIDE ORE BODY. |
