Comments on the workings information

  • WORKINGS COVER A HALF-MILE AREA EXPLORING VEINS FORMED IN SHEAR ZONES AND JOINTS IN GRANITE. THE MAJOR WORK WAS FOCUSED ON TWO SUBPARALLEL SHEAR ZONES STRIKING N 35 DEGREES E AND N 45 DEGREES E RESPECTIVELY. SEVERAL OFFSETTING SUBSURFACE WORKINGS WERE EITHER STOPED TO THE SURFACE OR CAVED OR BOTH. ONE SUCH WORKING NEAR THE MAJOR SHAFT APPEARS TO BE THE JUNCTION OF ANOTHER ALMOST PERPENDICULAR SHEAR.

Comments on development

  • MUCH OF THE EARLY HISTORY OF THE CAMP HAS BEEN LOST AND THE LATER ACTIVITY, IN 1936, CONCERNS THE CAMBRIDGE MINE TO THE SOUTH
