DESCUBRIADORA MINE PRODUCED ABOUT 40 MILLION PESOS (357,143 KG); MANTO DE PERALTA ABOUT 15 MILLION PESOS (133,929 KG); CANDELORIA MINE ABOUT 15 MILLION PESOS (133,929 KG); CORRIDA VEIN ABOUT 180-200 MILLION PESOS (1,607,100 - 1,785,700 KG); MANTO DE OSSA MINE 1 MILLION PESOS IN 1885 (8,928.6 KG).

  • 60 SHAFTS. WORKED CEASED IN 1885 AND MINES WERE FLOODED; SINCE THIS TIME, PUMPS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED TO KEEP MINE FREE OF WATER. MINES WORKED IN 1900-1920'S WHEN OREBODIES AND STRINGERS WERE FOLLOWED COMPLETELY AND MINED OUT TO 500-600 M BELOW SURFACE.

Deposit VEINS ON SOUTH FLANK OF DOME WHERE THEY HAVE FILLED RADIAL FRACTURES AND TO A LESSER EXTENT NW-TRENDING FAULTS. HYPOGENE ORE OF QUESTIONABLE ECONOMIC EXTRACTION. ORE BODIES TENDED TO BE LARGER IN LIMESTONES AND PINCH DOWN IN TUFFS.
Deposit 1860 TO 1880 THERE WERE OVER 100 CLAIMS WHICH VARIED IN SIZE FROM 1,000 TO 50,000 SQUARE METERS AND THUS MANY NAMES ASSOCIATED WITH THE AREA; ONLY THE MORE IMPORTANT ARE GIVEN ABOVE.
