Comments on development

  • THE GENTLENESS OF THE LOCAL TOPOGRAPHY, THE PROBABILITY OF THICK DEPOSITS OF GOOD QUALITY NEAR THE SURFACE, AND THE ACCESSIBILITY AND PROXIMITY TO U.S. HIGHWAY 60 ALL COMBINE TO INDICATE THAT THIS DEPOSIT IS THE MOST FAVORABLE LOCALITY OF THE RESERVATION IN WHICH TO CONDUCT IMMEDIATE ADDITIONAL EXPLORATION, SHOULD GYPSUM BE JUDGED OF ECONOMIC INTEREST. A SINGLE SHALLOW (LESS THAN 100 FT) CORE HOLE IS ALL THAT WOULD BE REQUIRED TO FIRMLY ESTABLISH THE THICKNESS OF THE GYPSUM THAT COULD BE EXPLOITED BY SURFACE MINING METHODS.
