  • PERLITE IS LIGHT GRAY TO MILKY WHITE. STRONGLY DEVELOPED SPHEROIDAL PERLITIC STRUCTURES, FROM A MILLIMETER TO SEVERAL TENS OF CENTIMETERS IN DIAMETER, ARE SUCCESSIVELY SUPERIMPOSED ON ONE ANOTHER. THE MAIN MASS OF PERLITE CONTAINS SEVERAL PERCENT WATER.
