GREENSCHIST FACIES ASSEMBLAGES OF QUARTZ +/- CHLORITE +/- BIOTITE +/- SERICITE +/- ACTINOLITE. FOLIATION STRIKES EW; DIPS STEEPLY N. FOLD AXIAL PLANES NW-SE AND EW. GABBROIC AND SERPENTINIZED PERIDOTITIC ROCKS OCCUR IN THE AREA. GREENSCHIST BELTS INTRUDED BY SUPAMO COMPLEX GRANODIORITE AND GRANITE. LATER CUT BY DIABASE DIKES AND SILLS.
