Comments on the geologic information

  • SANDSTONE IS ABOUT 100 M THICK, OVERLIES CONGLOMERATE CONSISITING OF ANGULAR FRAGMENTS OF MUDSTONE, SANDSTONE, PHYLLITE, QUARTZITE, AND QUARTZ PEBBLES WITH MALACHITE STAINS IN PEDRA VERDE GULCH. THESE UNITS OVERLIE A REGOLITH (7-16 M) THICK CONSISITING OF IRON OXIDES AND BOULDER OVERLYING ALTERED PHYLLITE (2-22 M) THICK. THE PRECAMBRIAN APPEARS TO BE AN UNCONFORMITY WITH THE CONGLOMERATE.
