Deposit GOLD RECOVERED FROM TERRACE AND ALLUVIAL GRAVELS BETWEEN MOUTH OF SIR WALTER CREEK AND SOUTH FLOWING TRIBUTARY 0.5 MI BELOW BLACKWATER CREEK AND FROM MINOR SOUTH FLOWING CREEKS BETWEEN THESE POINTS. GOLD OCCURRENCES IDENTIFIED IN 1937 ABOVE BLACKWATER CREEK ARE 1) N FLOWING GULLY ON SW SIDE OF ARANKA RIVER 0.5 MI ABOVE BLACKWATER CREEK, COARSE GOLD WITH GRADES UP TO 0.0435 OZ/CU YD; 2) NEXT TRIBUTARY UP STREAM ON FLATS 250 FT WIDE, 0.0324 OZ/CU YD; 3) NEXT TRIBUTARY 0.5 MI MORE UP STREAM COARSE GOLD, 0.0096 OZ/CU YD WITH VALUES UP TO 0.194 OZ/CU YD IN FLATS 300 FT WIDE; 4) NEXT TERRACE NORTH, 0.0445 OZ/CU YD AT DEPTH OF 2 FT. NO OTHER GOLD IDENTIFIED ON ARANKA TO MOUTH OF WEST FORK.
