VENTS CONTAIN BOTH DRY AND LIQUID SULFUR IN 1970; (2) SAND CONES AND SAND POTS (3-5 M IN DIAMETER, 2 1/2 M DEEP) CONSTRUCTED ON SAND-SIZED ROCK DEBRIS INTERLAYERED WITH SUBLIMATED SULFUR LAYERS; (3) SULFUR FLOWS DOWNSLOPE FROM FUMAROLES, LARGEST 225 M LONG, 30 M WIDE AT DISTAL END, SMALLER ONES MORE COMMON, 5-10 M IN LENGTH, CONSISTS OF VARYING AMOUNTS, UP TO 99% SULFUR, AND OPALIZED BASALT FRAGMENTS.
