General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit THE DEPOSIT IS IN ALLUVIUM DEPOSITED BY THE AMOYA RIVER, AND IS NOW BEING ERODED BY THE SAME RIVER. THE CONGLOMERATE CONSISTS OF VARIOUS SIZED CLASTS OF IGNEOUS INTRUSIVES AND QUARTZ IN A SANDY MATRIX. GOLD FLAKES ARE FOUND IN THE MATRIX.
Deposit BUENAVENTURA (1975) REPORTS THAT THE DEPOSIT IS OF LITTLE ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE, AND THAT THERE ARE ONLY A FEW AREAS LEFT WITH LOW GOLD CONTENT.
