  • KAOLIN HAS A LIGHT YELLOW COLOR WHICH DISAPPEARS BETWEEN 850 AND 1150 DEGREES. THE KAOLIN HAS GOOD PLASTICITY. THE ORE CONTAINS 23.8% QUARTZ AND FELDSPAR AND 72% KAOLIN. THE CRUDE KAOLIN IS 65.7% SIO2; 25.8% AL2O3; 0.6% MGO; 8.1% P. ROJO; AND TRACES OF FE2O3 AND CAO. WASHED KAOLIN: 51.4% SIO2; 36.2% AL2O3; 0.2% MGO; 12.6% P. ROJO; AND TRACES OF FE2O3 AND CAO.
