MANY (+20) SMALL PITS AND TRENCHES WERE DUG ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE SLOPE OVER AN AREA ABOUT 300 FEET LONG ALONG THE NORTH SLOPE AND 400 FEET WIDE UPSLOPE. MOST SMALL WORKINGS ARE 5 TO 10 FEET LONG, 2 TO 3 FEET DEEP AND CUT IN AN EAST-WEST DIRECTION, CREATING LUMPY TOPOGRAPHY. SMALL DUMPS ARE HEAVILY WEATHERED AND GROWN OVER.

Comments on development

  • WATSON (1905) REPORTED THAT PROSPECTED HAD JUST BEGUN IN APRIL, 1905, AND THAT SPHALERITE HAD BEEN FOUND. CURRIER (1935) CONFIRMED SPHALERITE WAS FOUND, BUT STATED THE PROSPECT WAS UNIMPORTANT.
