Subject category Comment text
Deposit DEPOSIT WAS NOT EXPOSED NOR DESCRIBED IN THE LITERATURE. SMALL PIECES (1") OF BARITE CLUSTERS AND MASSES FOUND IN THE CLAY AND SOIL ON THE PROSPECT DUMP. AS WITH THE OTHER DEPOSITS IN THE DISTRICT BARITE MOST LIKELY OCCURS AS VEINS AND REPLACEMENT MASSES ALONG FRACTURES IN THE BEDROCK, AND AS IRREGULAR FRAGMENTS IN THE OVERLYING CLAY AND SOIL.
Deposit THIS PROSPECT IS ALONG STRIKE WITH THE HULL-CORNETT MINES, BUT IS LOCATED 1500 FEET NORTHEAST AND WORKINGS ARE NOT CONTINUOUS INTO THE AREA. THEREFORE, THIS PROSPECT IS LISTED SEPERATELY, AND IS A NEW LOCATION NOT PREVIOUSLY DESCRIBED IN THE LITERATURE. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV; 5 PERS COMM
