DEEP, GRIDLEY MINE PIT IS SMALL SOUTHERN PORTION OF LARGE PIT AND POND, THE NORTHERN PORTION BEING THE PALMER PIT OF THIS AMENIA MINE (HARTFORD SHEET, NO. 55). MANGANESE AND ZINC PROBABLY PRESENT BUT NOT TESTED FOR.
