  • THIS MINE WAS OPERATED INTERMITTENTLY OVER A LONG PERIOD. IN 1879 THE MINE REPORTEDLY YIELDED FROM $700 TO $1000 A WEEK PROFIT. IT WAS LAST WORKED ABOUT 1904. A 10-STAMP MILL WAS BUILT WITH TABLES AND AMALGAM PLATES, BUT IT WAS REMODELED TO USE THE CYANIDE PROCESS FOR TREATING THE ORES, BUT WITH WHAT SUCCESS IS NOT KNOWN.
