  • INFORMATION LACKING. MARBLE GENERALLY COARSE GRAINED, PARTLY DOLOMITIC, PARTLY CALCITIC. MANY LAYERS OF MICA SCHIST WHERE CALCITIC. TOPO SHOWS QUARRY ABOUT 800 FEET LONG NORTH TO SOUTH, 250 FEET WIDE EAST TO WEST, WITH WORKING FACE 110 FEET HIGH TO EAST. THREE ADDITIONAL QUARRIES ARE LOCATED 2000 FEET ENE., 1900 FEET DUE TEAST, AND 1900 FEET ESE. THE WATER FILLED ENE. QUARRY IS ABOUT 400 FEET LONG NORTH TO SOUTH, 200 FEET WIDE EAST TO WEST, WITH WORKING FACE MORE THAN 40 FEET HIGH TO EAST. THE ADJACENT WATERFILLED DUE TO EAST QUARRY IS ABOUT 200 FEET IN DIAMETER AND MORE THAN 30 FEET DEEP. THE NEARLY ADJACENT ESE QUARRY SHOWS A WORKING FACE ABOUT 100 FEET LONG, 20 FEET HIGH , TO THE NW.
