General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit PETROGRAPHIC AND RADIOCRYSTALLOGRAPHIC STUDIES OF BAUXITE SAMPLES SEEM TO SHOW A TRANSFORMATION OF DIASPORE TO CORUNDUM BY METAMORPHIC ACTION. MINERALOGIC, GEOCHEMICAL AND PALEOGEOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE TEND TO SHOW THAT THE BAUXITE (WITH A CALCAREOUS, PERMIAN WALL AND A TRIASSIC, DOLOMITIC ROOF) IS DERIVED FROM PRE-PERMIAN SCHISTS, BUT WHETHER THE BAUXITISATION OCCURRED IN SITU OR NOT IS UNKNOWN.
