THE COMMON SUCCESSION OF ROCK ASSOCIATED WITH BAUXITE WAS DESCRIBED FROM THE SURFACE DOUNWARD: (1) WHITE SAND, UNDERLAIN BY CLAY, SAND, AND LIGNITE; (2) BAUXITE; (3) KAOLIN; (4) MICACEOUS CLAY; (5) GRANITE AND DIORITE. RECORDS W002322 AND W001964 HAVE BEEN INCORPORATED INTO THIS RECORD. IN BERBICE-ESSEQUIBO BELT (GUYANA), THE BAUXITE DEPOSITS ARE USUALLY RELATED IN FORM AND DISPOSITION TO EXISTING BASEMENT TOPOGRAPHY.
