Deposit BESIDES CHALCOBAMBA COPPER DEPOSIT, TWO OTHER SMALL DEPOSITS WITHIN THE FERROBAMBA REGION ARE THE CHARCAS 2 KM SOUTHWEST OF CHALCOBAMBA AT AN ALTITUDE OF 4600 M. THE ORE BODIES ARE PARALLEL TO THE BEDDING OF FERROBAMBA LIMESTONE, WITH ORES AVERAGING ABOUT 5% CU. WITH RESERVES OF ABOUT ONE MIL TONS. THE OTHER DEPOSIT IS THE SULFOBAMBA 3 1/2 KM W. NW OF CHARCAS AT AN ALTITUDE OF 4600 M AND IN THE LOWER PART OF FERROBAMBA LIMESTONE. THE SULFUR CONTENT OF THE ORE IN SULFOBAMBA IS HIGHER THAN THAT OF THE OTHER FERROBAMBA DEPOSITS. TOTAL RESERVES AND RESOURCES ARE ESTIMATED AT ABOUT 3 MIL TONS ABOUT 2.5% CU.
