Deposit THE MINERALOGY OF THE MOST COMMON ORE TYPE IS AN EARTHY DARK GRAY OR BROWNISH BLACK FINE GRAINED MANGANESE OXIDE WITH ABUNDANT SMALL PATCHES AND VERY IRREGULAR VEINLETS OF LIGHT BROWN TO DARK YELLOWISH ORANGE EARTHY IRON OXIDE. HERE AND THERE THIS ROCK IS TRAVERSED BY SILICEOUS VEINLETS WITH DISSEMINATED COPPER MINERALS, APPARENTLY LARGELY CHRYSOCOLLA, AND BY VEINS SEVERAL CM. WIDE OF CHALCOCITE, THE ONLY COPPER SULFIDE RECOGNIZED. MOST OF THE COPPER SEEMS TO OCCUR AS CHRYSOCOLLA.
Deposit RECORD TC38241 HAS BEEN DELETED AND DATA COMBINED WITH THIS RECORD.
