| Deposit | THE EMERALD MINE IS ABOUT 8 KM S.E. OF TOWN OF ANAGE. THE EMERALDS OCCUR IN A THIN ELONGATE PEGMATITE THAT STRIKES N60E AND IN ADJACENT TALC-BIOTITE GNEISS WALL ROCK. THE MINE IS ACTIVE WITH AN ADIT ABOUT 72M LONG NEARLY PARALLEL TO THE STRIKE OF PEGMATITE. OLDER WORKINGS CONSIST OF TWO OPEN CUTS AND AN ABANDONED SHAFT ABOUT 25-30M DEEP. AT LEAST TWO DRILL HOLES WERE SITED AT THE N.E. END OF THE PEGMATITE. |
