Comments on the location information

  • THE DEPOSITS ARE LOCATED ALONG FAULTS WHICH USUALLY TAKE THE NAME OF THE MINE THEY CONTAIN. STARTING IN THE NORTHEAST AND GOING SOUTHWEST THE EUREKA FAULTS SPLIT INTO THE HILLSIDE FAULT ON THE EAST, THE DAISY FAULT IN THE MIDDLE, AND THE BLUE - DIGGINGS FAULT ON THE WEST. THE HILLSIDE FAULT RUNS NORTH - SOUTH FOR ABOUT 1.5 KM THEN THE ROSICLARE FAULT BRANCHES OFF TO THE WEST BUT TURNS A FEW DEGREES EAST OF SOUTH AS IT NEARS THE OHIO RIVER. THE DAISY FAULT JOINS THE BLUE - DIGGINGS FAULT WHICH ALSO CURVES EAST OF SOUTH NEAR THE OHIO R. THE ARGO FAULT IS PARALLEL TO, AND JUST WEST OF THE BLUE - DIGGINGS.
