Deposit DIAMOND DRILLING BELOW THE BOTTOM OF THE PIT SHOWED TAPERING ROOTS TO THE DEPOSIT WHICH TERMINATE ABOUT 60 M BELOW THE FLOOR OF THE PIT. OREBODY IS LOCATED ALONG A PERSISTENT NW-TRENDING FAULT WHICH HAS DROPPED RHYOLITE ROCKS RELATIVE TO THE NEARLY HORIZONTAL LIMESTONE. THIS DEPOSIT WAS FORMED BY REPLACEMENT OF THE INTENSELY BRECCIATED LIMESTONE AND RHYOLITE AND BY OPEN-SPACE FILLING IN LARGE SOLUTION CAVES. THE OREBODY HAS BEEN MINED TO A DEPTH OF 100 M. ESTIMATED ORE GRADE OF VEINS IS 70 PERCENT FLUORSPAR AND 16 PERCENT SILICA.
