  • THE STREAMS WHICH DRAIN INTO THE NORTH FORK OF BURNT RIVER HAVE BEEN EXTENSIVELY WORKED FOR PLACER GOLD. DREDGING AND HYDRAULIC MINING
  • THE MAIN SHAFTS WERE REPORTED TO BE CAVED AND THE WORKINGS INACCESSIBLE IN 1934. A LONGITUDINAL SECTION ADAPTED FROM OLD MAPS INDICATED AT LEAST 5000 FT OF DRIFTING, EXTENSIVE STOPING, NUMEROUS UNDERGROUND LEVELS AND TWO VERTICAL SHAFTS ABOUT 500 FT DEEP.
