  • SHALLOW DEPRESSION AND A 4-FT WIDE, 100-FT LONG AND 4-FT DEEP EXPLORATION TRENCH PRESENT WITHIN A PINE THICKET. ONE CHUNK OF BARITE WAS FOUND. VAN HORN, ET AL WROTE THAT REPORTEDLY SEVERAL CARLOADS OF BARITE WERE EXTRACTED, BUT APPEARANCES IN 1947-48 DID NOT SUPPORT AN OPERATION OF THAT SIZE.
