Deposit OPENED 1907, SHIPPED EVERY YEAR THROUGH 1949 EXCEPT 1943, 1945-1947. PART OF THE BUCK GROUP OF MINES, OPERATED BY THE VERONA MINING CO. (PICKANDS MATHER AND CO., AGENT). WORKED BY STOPING AND SLICING, UNDERGROUND. BUCK GROUP OPERATED UNTIL 1962, SEE BUCK MINE REPORT FOR PRODUCTION FIGURES OF GROUP AS A WHOLE THROUGH 1962. THE FOGARTY AND YOUNG MINE WORKINGS CAVED-IN UNDER CO RD 424 CAUSING A DEATH IN A VEHICLE THAT WAS ON THE ROAD AT THAT TIME.
