THE FORMER LOCATION OF THIS SITE WAS ACROSS STATE ROAD 610, AT LOCATION UTM N4,190,560 E752,960. THE NEW LOCATION IS ON THE FARM OF DAVE CHARRON, THE HIDAWAY RANCH. THIS TRACT WAS ALSO KNOWN AS THE MASSEY TRACT.

  • 5.5 M (18 FT) SHAFT SUNK. IN 1974, SHALLOW PIT EVIDENT. THE SITE SEEN IN NOV. 1989, CONSISTS OF SEVERAL CAVED SHAFTS AND THERE IS EVIDENCE OF AN UNDERGROUND TUNNEL, WITH CAVE-INS ON THE SURFACE ACROSS THE HILL. DAVE CHARRON NOTED THAT HE HAD CRAWLED UNDERGROUND FOR ABOUT 15 FEET AND DROPPED A ROCK DOWN WHAT HE DESCRIBED AS AN OLD SHAFT. HE STATED THAT IT APPEARED TO BE ABOUT 100 FEET DEEP.
