  • ONE SHAFT 120 FT (37 M) DEEP WAS DUG WITH 2 TUNNELS AT BOTTOM OF SHAFT, EACH OF WHICH WAS AT LEAST 117 FT (36 M) LONG. 3 UNDERGROUND ROOMS OFF SHAFT, 30 FT (9M) SQUARE, WERE ALSO DUG.

  • MINE IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN OPENED IN 1937 BY A GERMAN NAMED VON RAVEN (?). IT CONSISTED OF ONE SHAFT WITH 2 TUNNELS AND 3 ROOMS. NO PRODUCTION RESULTED, DEPOSIT WAS UNECONOMIC AND MINE WAS CLOSED IN 1939. SHAFT HAS NOW BEEN FILLED IN AND ONLY ONE DUMP PILE IS VISIBLE.
