| Deposit | WALL ROCK IS BIOTITE GNEISS. PEGMATITE HAS A QUARTZ CORE UP TO 3.6 M (12 FT) THICK, BORDERED BY PARTLY KAOLINIZED PLAGIOCLASE PEGMATITE, PRESENT IN THE CENTRAL AND EAST END OF THE OPEN CUT. THE WEST END CONSISTS OF PERTHITE REPRESENTING A DISCONTINUOUS INTERMEDIATE ZONE. CONSIDERABLE LARGE MICA WAS RECOVERED FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE QUARTZ CORE. CLEAVELANDITE, BERYL, AND TANTALITE-COLUMBITE HAVE BEEN REPORTED. |
