  • MINERAL RIGHTS OBTAINED BY PHILADELPHIA AND READING COAL AND IRON CO. IN 1878 IN ANTICIPATION OF IRON PRODUCTION. NO WORK WAS ACCOMPLISHED ON THE PROPERTY AND, IN 1886, THE MINERAL RIGHTS WERE TRANSFERRED TO THE READING IRON CO., BUT NO FURTHER DEVELOPMENT WAS ACCOMPLISHED. AMERICAN CYANAMID OBTAINED THE MINERAL RIGHTS AND HELD THEM AT THE TIME OF THE U.S. BUREAU OF MINES EXPLORATORY WORK IN 1959-1960. THE BUREAU OF MINES DRILLED THREE DIAMOND DRILL HOLES TOTALING 175.6 M OVER A HORIZONTAL DISTANCE OF 430 M.
