| Deposit | EDMNUDSON (1938) AND STOSE & STOSE (1957) DESCRIBED THIS PROSPECT AND ITS LOCATION AT THE HEADWATERS OF TURKEY FORK. FIELD INVESTIGATIONS CONDUCTED 8/27/86 AND 9/9/86. BOGE CALLAHAN (PERSONAL COMMUNICATION, 1986) IDENTIFIED THE PROSPECT LOCATION. HE HAD FOUND THE PROSPECT AND COLLECTED BARITE SAMPLES HERE MANY YEARS AGO. HE DESCRIBED THE PROSPECT AS BEING A SMALL TRENCH OR PIT, 10 TO 20 FT ABOVE THE CREEK, ON THE SOUTH BANK, NEAR A SMALL FORK IN THE CREEK AND NEAR AN OLD HOUSE FOUNDATION. NO INDICATION OF A PROSPECT OR WORKINGS COULD BE SEEN IN THE FIELD. IT IS BELIEVED THE DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION GIVEN BY MR. CALLAHAN ARE ACCURATE. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 3 FIELD OBSERV; 5 PERS COMM |
