  • ON NORTH SIDE OF RIVER FIVE EXPLORATION ADITS CAN BE SEEN, THREE OF WHICH ARE ACCESSIBLE; ONE ADIT EXTENDS MORE THAN 50 FEET. PROSPECTS 50-75 FEET ABOVE FLOOD PLAIN, SHAFT ON SOUTH SIDE OF RIVER WAS NOT LOCATED.

Comments on development

  • AROUND 1900, D.S. FORNEY DROVE AN ADIT INTO THE SLOPE ON THE NORTHERN SIDE OF THE RIVER AND SANK A SHAFT ON THE SOUTHERN SIDE. OTHER ADITS ADDED AND DIAMOND DRILLING DONE IN 1925. A COFFER DAM WAS CONSTRUCTED AND SHOWINGS OF PB-ZN MINERALIZATION WERE REVEALED IN RIVER BED.
