Deposit DIMENSIONS ARE FOR ELLIPTICAL ZONE OF CONTACT METAMORPHISM AND ALTERATION-MINERALIZATION ORIENTED N55W. MILLUNI MINE OCCUPIES NORTH END OF ZONE, KELLHUANI AND KALUYO MINES OCCUPY SOUTH END OF ZONE. CONTACT METAMORPHISM AND ALTERATION ARE RELATED TO A BURIED INTRUSIVE. MINERALIZTION IN MANTO DEPOSITS CONSISTS OF DISCONTINUOUS STOCKWORK VEINS WITH NARROW ALTERATION SELVAGES IN QUARTZITE BEDS SANDWICHED BETWEEN SHALE LAYERS. MANTO MINERALIZATION OCCURS MAINLY IN THE CENTRAL-SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE DISTRICT (KELLHUANI, KALUYO, ETC.) VEINS STRIKE N-S TO N20E AND ARE FOUND IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE DISTRICT AT THE MILLUNI MINE, AND IN THE CENTRAL PART OF THE DISTRICT, AT RECORTE GRANDE. PEGMATITE VEINS ARE FOUND AT MILLUNI MINE.
