  • 1.2 KM (0.75 MI) NORTHWEST ON STATE ROAD 779 FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH STATE ROAD 42, TURN NORTH (RIGHT TURN) ON TO DIRT DRIVEWAY FOR ABOUT 1 KM (0.6 MI) TO A RED GATE WITH A JEEP TRAIL JUST TO THE LEFT, FOLLOW JEEP TRAIL FOR 1.6 KM (1 MI) OVER THE MOUNTAIN CREST, MINE IS 70 M (230 FT) BELOW THE CREST ON THE NORTHWEST SLOPE OF THREEMILE MOUNTAIN. A SECOND MINE IS LOCATED ON THE NORTH END OF THE MOUNTAIN AT UTM COORDINATES N 4306650, E 702615 AND N 4306710, E 702750. TO REACH MINE FOLLOW JEEP TRAIL TO NORTHEAST FROM WHERE IT INTERSECTS WITH THE ORIGINAL JEEP TRAIL NEAR THE CREST FOR ABOUT 1.2 KM (0.75 MI). OTHER PROSPECT PITS EXTEND TO THE SOUTHWEST ON TO THE CONICVILLE QUAD.; PREVIOUS QUAD DESIGNATION = CONICVILLE (1966) 1:24000

  • IN 1982, WORKINGS CONSISTED OF A LARGE OPEN CUT, SEVERAL SMALLER OPEN CUTS, SHAFTS, TUNNELS, AND NUMEROUS PITS AT THE SOUTHWESTERN MINE. THE NORTHEASTERN MINE CONSISTED OF TUNNELS, AT LEAST 5, SHAFTS AND PITS. ALL WORKINGS WERE CAVED. SOME ORE IS EVIDENT ON THE DUMPS.
