  • ORE IS EXPOSED IN HORIZONTAL VEINS THREE INCHES THICK IN THE CREEK-BED. IN SHAFTS THE ORE IS PRESENT IN CAVITIES AND JOINTS IN COARSELY BRECCIATED DOLOMITE, AND ALSO IN THIN SEAMS AN INCH OR SO WIDE, ALONG THE LAMINATION PLANES.

  • TWO SHAFTS START DOWN AT A LEVEL 12 FEET ABOVE THE CREEK BED. IN THE 19-FOOT SHAFT ORE WAS FOUND ALL THE WAY DOWN IN GREATER OR LESSER QUANTIES, AND IN THE 27 FOOT SHAFT ORE WAS FOUND ONLY NEAR THE BOTTOM. AN OLD SHAFT 10 FEET DEEP AND 150 FEET UP THE CREEK YIELDED A SMALL AMOUNT OF SMITHSONITE IN THE YEAR 1900.
