  • QUARRY DEPTH IS UNCERTAIN BECAUSE IT IS NOW WATER-FILLED. IT WAS 115 FEET DEEP IN 1914. A TUNNEL EXTENDS THE QUARRY 630 FEET TO THE NW AND THE TUNNEL IS 40 FEET HIGH AND UP TO 175 FEET WIDE (DALE, 1914).
