  • IN 1879 THERE WERE TWO GROUPS OF OPENINGS 500 FEET APART. THE NE OPENING WAS A PIT ENTERED BY TWO SHAFTS, THE SW OPENING WAS A SHAFT. OLDER SHAFTS WERE 300 FT DEEP.
