Comments on the reserve resource information

  • ASSUMING 5 POUNDS OF MAGNETITE ARE IN EACH CUBIC FOOT OF SAND, THIS WOULD MEAN A DEPOSIT OF 25,000 TONS OF MAGNETITE. A MORE OPTIMISTIC BUT STILL CONSERVATIVE APPRAISAL OF THE RECONNAISSANCE DATA WOULD INCREASE THE LA MARINA DEPOSIT BY 50 PERCENT TO 37,000 TONS (GUILLOU AND GLASS, 1957, P. 302).
