Deposit THE MARICAO EAST DEPOSIT, ABOUT 44 ACRES IN EXTENT, IS AN EROSIONAL REMNANT OF A LARGER DEPOSIT THAT MAY HAVE ALSO INCLUDED THE MARICAO WEST DEPOSIT. ONLY THE READILY ACCESSIBLE WESTERN PART OF THE MARICAO EAST DEPOSIT WAS TESTED. HERE THE AVERAGE THICKNESS OF THE LATERITE AND SOFT SERPENTINE IS 30 FEET AND 28.5 FEET, RESPECTIVELY. THE AVERAGE THICKNESS OF THE ENRICHED ZONE IS 51 FEET, OF WHICH 22.5 FEET IS LATERITE AND 28.5 FEET SOFT SERPENTINE.
