  • WOLFRAMITE CRYSTALS FROM A FEW MM TO 10 CM LONG, COMMONLY IN AGGREGATES AND BANDS AND MAY CONSTITUTE UP TO 80% OF VEIN IN LOCALIZED RICH AREAS. SCHEELITE SOMETIMES REPLACES WOLFRAMITE AND IN OTHER CASES FORMS WELL DEFINED CRYSTALS UP TO 2-3 CM, SOMETIMES FORMING AGGREGATES. VEINS CONTAINING SCHEELITE GENERALLY CONTAIN WOLFRAMITE, BUT NOT VICE-VERSA. MOLYBDENITE IS FOUND ONLY IN TWO VEINS, LA MUDA AND LA SOLEDAD. MANY STERILE BUT OTHERWISE SIMILAR QUARTZ VEINS ARE FOUND.

  • DISCOVERED BY AN INDIGENT DEAF-MUTE, MAURO CACERES, WHO TOOK SOME SAMPLES IN AND SHOWED THEM TO GEOLOGIST ZOPPIS-BRACCI. SCHEELITE APPEARS IN PAN CONCENTRATE IN GOLD OPERATIONS. ; ECON.COM: THIS DEPOSIT IS GENERALLY CONSIDERED UN-ECONOMIC DUE TO THE SMALL, NARROW, DISCONTINUOUS NATURE OF THE VEINS AND CONCENTRATION OF VALUES IN SMALL POCKETS.
