Deposit CASSITERITE AND WOOD TIN REPORTED IN AREAS NEAR TOWNS OF PARAMIRIM RIO DE CONTAS AND LIVRAMENTO DO BRUMADO IN A BELT OF METAMORPHOSED ACIDIC VOLCANIC ROCKS....DISTANCE FROM PARAMIRIM TO BRUMADO IS 50 KILOMETERS. THIS BELT OF ROCKS REPORTED IN THIS REFERENCE TO EXTEND TO THE NORTH OF PARAMIRIM AS FAR AS IBITIARA A DISTANCE OF 185 KILOMETERS(THESE ROCKS ARE SHOWN ON THE 1971 GEOLOGICAL MAP OF BRAZIL AS ACID ERUPTIVE OF LATE PRECAMBRIAN AGE. NOTE THAT IN THE MISI AND SOUTO(1972) REFERENCE THEY REPORT CASSITERITE IN QUARTZ VEINS AND DISSEMINATED IN RHYOLITE DIKES IN VICINITY OF AGUA QUENTE IN THE PARAMIRIM DISTRICT.
