Deposit CREDNER (1869) REPORTED DEEP AND EXTENSIVE AURIFEROUS SAND-DEPOSITS ALONG A SMALL CREEK (HORSEPEN RUN). HE REPORTED THAT GOLD HAD BEEN OBTAINED BY PANNING BUT APPARENTLY NO LARGE SCALE OPERATION HAD AS YET BEEN UNDERTAKEN.
